User Preference Definitions:
Select Distance Units: Choose between feet/miles and meters/kilometers for the statistics display. Default is feet/miles.
Show Track Date/Time: Select to display the date and time of a loaded track overlaid on the map view. Default is ON.
Keep Map Centered: Turn on to keep your current location at the center of the map whenever GPS is on (whether recording or not). One consequence of turning this ON is you will be unable to move the map manually and keep it where you put it whenever GPS is ON since RideTrac will keep jumping the map back so your location is at the center (you can’t have it both ways…). Another consequence is the Recenter button isn’t very useful when this is ON, but if you simply want to always have your current location dead-center all the time, this option is for you. Default is OFF.
GPS Off When Paused: Turn off the GPS whenever RideTrac is paused. This happens when a phone call comes in, the screen saver is activated, the back button is hit, etc. Default is OFF to conserve battery. Turn ON if accurate collection of distance and elevation statistics is desired in all situations when GPS is ON and not recording.
Use GPS Accuracy: To filter out excess point recording, only motion that exceeds a specific distance will result in a recorded point. Turn this ON to use the GPS reported accuracy as that limit. Default is OFF. My observation is that the actual accuracy is frequently better than the reported accuracy, so turning this on may cause legitimate points to not get recorded.
Set Min Distance: Use an explicitly set distance to filter point recording. Only motion that exceed this distance will be recorded. If Use GPS Accuracy is ON this will be ignored. Default is 1.0 meters.
Button View BG Color: Change the default background color of the button view. Note: this does not effect landscape view.
Statistics View BG Color: Change the default background color of the statistics view.
Live Track Color: Change the default color of overlay track drawing for live collection.
Loaded Track Color: Change the default color of the overlay track drawing for loaded tracks.
